I would like to personally welcome you to the Greater Metro Conference website! I have put many hours into this website to provide resources for individuals with an interest in high school athletics in the great State of Wisconsin. I hope you will find the resources that I put together very useful. My goals was to attempt to set the standard for a conference website in usability, accessibility to information, and a privacy policy that protects everyone including our student-athletes best interest.

Anyone who has attained any level of success is foolish to not realize the help that was provided to them by others. I have the good fortune of working with amazing athletic directors and principals all who have a commitment to excellence in high school education. For example, they made the resources available to make this website happen. Thank you. 

I also want to recognize the quality people that have been involved in the Greater Metro Conference formerly. These quality individuals laid the foundation for our future success, and were responsible for all we’ve achieved since the conference was formed in 1997. There’s far too many to mention here, but that does not diminish from the tremendous contributions these individuals made to the conference and our student athletes.

From the moment, that I came on board in 1999 I have taken tremendous pride in working with the institutions in this conference. Education is a tricky thing. You set standards but just because the standards aren’t always met that doesn’t mean you have failed. Standards are targets, and setting targets of excellence for our the student-athletes, administrators, coaches and game officials are one of the reasons than I believe the GMC has been so successful. One thing that working with so many tremendous people including the student-athletes of the Greater Metro Conference always reminds me of what has made America a great country and the tremendous potential our collective future holds.
