Terms of Use

We use a company called Sports Engine to host the Greater Metro Conference website. Sports Engine provides web hosting services and other internet services to the Greater Metro Conference.

The Greater Metro Conference has only contracted with Sports Engine to provide web hosting services and have given them no rights other than to post our content on the Internet. They also have no rights to our intellectual property or trade marks other than to make those materials available to others, including you via the Internet.

To provide our users with comprehensive information which many find valuable, we have also linked areas of our site to another website called Wisconsin Sports Network at www.wissports.net.

The Greater Metro Conference has not reviewed all of the sites linked to the Greater Metro Conference web site and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site, including ads. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by the Greater Metro Conference. Use of any such linked web site is at the user's own risk.

We also avoided a dialog box that pops up every time you click a link telling you that you are leaving the Greater Metro Conference web site, as we find this intrusive and annoying.

No one is required to create an account on this site or on Wisconsin Sports Network. We want to give our users a choice and providing valuable information that you may find useful. No one is required to use the linked information, but it is available for your convenience.

Fair Use Statement:

The pictures utilized on this non-profit website are intended for educational and informational purposes only. We believe that their use qualifies as "fair use" under copyright law. The pictures are used to enhance the content and provide visual support to the topics discussed on the website. We make efforts to ensure that all pictures used are properly attributed to their respective owners, where applicable. If you believe that your copyrighted work has been used on our website in a way that constitutes infringement, please contact us with sufficient evidence, and we will promptly address your concerns. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in making this website a valuable resource for our users.

Fair use is a legal concept that allows limited use of copyrighted material without permission from the copyright owner. This exception applies in situations where the use is for purposes such as criticism, commentary, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, or research.

While fair use can vary depending on the circumstances, there are factors typically considered when determining whether a use qualifies as fair:

Purpose and character of the use: Is the use transformative? Does it serve a new purpose or add value? Non-profit, educational, or transformative uses are generally considered more likely to be fair.
