Along the top of this page please find links to each of the member schools of the Greater Metro Conference.

In 1997 the Greater Metro Conference was formed. Representatives from Brookfield Central, Brookfield East, Divine Savior Holy Angels, Hamilton Sussex, Marquette University High School, Menomonee Falls, Wauwatosa East, West Allis Central and West Allis Nathan Hale came together to form one of the most successful conferences in Wisconsin. This success includes over 80 WIAA State Championships earned since 1997. Many of these State Championships were achieved at the Division 1 level, the WIAA's most competitive division.

In 2017 the WIAA realigned Southeastern Wisconsin's conferences. In that realignment process, West Allis Central moved to the Woodland Conference, and Germantown and Wauwatosa West came into the Greater Metro Conference, thus starting the next chapter in an incredibly successful Conference configuration.

The GMC is proud to welcome Germantown and Wauwatosa West to the GMC in 2017!

We would like to welcome the West Allis Central Bulldogs back into the GMC for Football in 2020! The WIAA created Football-only conferences beginning the 2020 season, which will see WAC rejoining the GMC and Tosa East & Tosa West playing in the Woodland Conference - Parkland Division.

After many distinguished years, West Allis Central moved to the Woodland Conference in 2017. The GMC would like to wish the Bulldogs success in their new conference!
